I love mono printing - it allows for so many possibilities and surprises
- the outcome cannot be controlled or
changed
- there is a wonderful element of chance.

There are many different ways to mono print,
my main approach involves the placing of
ink (usually black in my case!) onto a glass
surface and gently placing a piece of paper
onto the surface.

I then draw, free hand, onto the paper and
when the paper is lifted off the ink an image
is produced on the paper.

The final image is a combination of many
factors:
- the pressure of my pencil,
- the thickness of the paper
- the consistency of the ink

Each monoprint is unique and the results often unexpected. Please
